CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY POSTDOCTORAL RESIDENCIES – CLEVELAND VA
The Louis Stokes Cleveland DVAMC announces one-year, full-time positions
for 2012-2013 in our APA Accredited Postdoctoral Residency Program in Clinical
Psychology, with advanced training in the Special Emphasis Areas of
Geropsychology, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Primary Care Health Psychology, Psychosocial Rehabilitation of
the Seriously Mentally Ill, Rehabilitation Psychology, Specialty Medicine Health
Psychology, and Substance Abuse. Application deadline is January 6, 2012.
Residents receive clinical experiential training, complete a research/scholarly
project, and are provided with training in supervision of interns. Our training
model is Practitioner-Scholar. Salary is $42,500. Considerable additional

CLINICAL NEUROPSYCHOLOGY POSTDOCTORAL RESIDENCY - Louis Stokes Cleveland
Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center
The Louis Stokes Cleveland DVA Medical Center announces a two-year,
full-time APA Accredited Postdoctoral Residency in Clinical Neuropsychology,
beginning September 15, 2012 (one position). The second year is contingent upon
satisfactory completion of the first year. This residency provides advanced
training with an emphasis on the evaluation of the neurocognitive impact of such
conditions as dementia, TBI, neurologic and psychiatric disorders. The Resident
works closely with interdisciplinary specialists from Neurology, Psychiatry,
General Medicine and the Polytrauma/TBI program and receives extensive training
based on a nomothetic, disease impact framework that integrates medical,
neurological, and behavioral data with test findings based upon the literature
in order to answer complex referral questions. Didactic experiences expose the
Resident to the neuropsychology and neurology/neuropsychiatry literature and
behavioral neurology and neuroanatomy. We adhere to the Houston Conference
Guidelines on postdoctoral training in Clinical Neuropsychology. Upon
completion of the program, the Resident will have advanced competence and
preparation for board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology (ABCN) through
ABPP.
First year salary is $42,500, with generous benefits. Applicants must be
U.S. citizens. All doctoral degree requirements from an APA accredited doctoral
program in clinical/counseling psychology and an APA accredited internship must
be completed prior to the start date of September 15, 2012. There can be no
exceptions to these requirements. Applications must be received no later than

Postdoctoral Fellowship Applications are now being accepted for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in
Bariatric Surgery/Weight Management Clinical Health Psychology available
September, 1 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic, a World Class academic medical center
rated among the top 4 hospitals in America. Cleveland Clinic’s Bariatric &
Metabolic Institute (BMI) is one of the nation’s premiere clinical programs and
one of the few national programs identified as a Bariatric Surgery Center of
Excellence by both the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and
the American College of Surgeons. The BMI, the largest bariatric center in the
state of Ohio, has a high level of clinical and research productivity, a diverse
patient population, and considerable opportunity for interdisciplinary
interaction. Fellows provide comprehensive evaluations and individual and
group-based interventions for patients undergoing behavioral weight management
and bariatric surgery. Past fellows have had unique opportunities to present at
national meetings and publish first-authored research in the field’s
highest-tier journals. Our department offers a rich multidisciplinary
collaborative environment for fellows interested in the practice of health
psychology, research, teaching, and program development.

POST-DOCTORAL POSITION - CHILDHOOD MOOD DISORDERS-- OHIO STATE UNIV CHILD
& ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRY. This grant-funded position (1 NIMH R01 and 2 NIMH R
34 grants) will provide the successful candidate with experience in: grant
writing; analyzing, presenting, and publishing study findings;
assessment/treatment of children with depressive and bipolar spectrum disorders;
and supervising graduate and undergraduate students in a large lab. Clinical and
research supervision provided; license eligibility anticipated after 2 years.

Building on Fairmount Boulevard in Cleveland Heights. This
unfurnished suite consists of 750 sq ft. with three offices, a waiting
room, a closet, and a small room for appliances, fax machine, etc. There is no
running water or lavatory in the suite but the lavatories on the second and
third floors are conveniently located and clean. Dr. Zerba replaced the
floor and had the suite repainted when she moved in over a year ago. It
is beautiful in neutral but cheerful color and simplicity. Dr. Zerba is
interested in transferring her lease to a new leaseholder (s) or sub-letting
to one or more professionals. This building leases to professionals, and
