The Wright State University School of Professional Psychology is seeking candidates for the position of Executive Director of their Ellis Human Development Institute (EHDI). This is a twelve-month faculty position at the Assistant to Full Professor level, depending upon experience and qualifications. Located off campus in downtown Dayton, the EHDI is a psychological service, training, and research center. Consistent with the mission of the School, the EHDI serves a diverse underserved minority population throughout the Miami Valley. A broad range of special programs addressing domestic violence, services for the deaf, psychological assessment, memory, and a male and female responsibility program for youth and their families are offered at the EHDI. The successful candidate for the position will have leadership experience within a community-based mental health/behavioral health care setting and in the development of services to underserved urban and ethnic minority groups. Responsibilities will include: managing the facility’s daily operations and assurance of quality of service management; coordinating resources and public relations among all existing and newly developed specially funded programs and projects; fiscal management to include developing new funding sources and expanding and managing third party reimbursements; and developing policies and procedures. Some teaching is required along with other faculty responsibilities such as advising, scholarship and committee work. A doctorate degree from an APA accredited program, an internship in Psychology, and eligibility for licensure in Ohio are required.
