Description: Children living with domestic violence are often the forgotten victims. They are affected in so many ways, especially as the blanket of safety and security placed on them by those who are to protect them has been yanked away. Placed in harm’s way, these children face numerous risks: neglect, direct abuse, and the loss of one or both parents. Exposure to violence transforms a child’s view of the world, emotional landscape and basic ability to trust.
