Research has demonstrated that high context communication is a vital component of working with people of all ages. In this 6 CE workshop Professional ‘Stringman’ Dave Titus will introduce us to the effective use of story and string figures in engagement, intervention, and education in individual, group, and classroom settings – particularly effective for tactile learners or those with whom engagement and building rapport is difficult – such as persons with ADHD, cognitive deficits, ESL, or cultural barriers. Come prepared to add interactive and cross-cultural tools to your professional toolbox. David Titus is a world-traveled and internationally requested presenter. As a professionals storyteller with a master’s in Library Science, Dave is able to apply research into practical use. Pre-registration is required.
