This three hour training is designed to aid professionals in understanding concepts related to assessment tools and interviewing techniques to determine parenting abilities within the context of general psychological evaluations. The focus of the training will be on Mid-Ohio Psychological Services, Inc.’s assessment procedures and tools. Through the use of instruction, practical activities, and collaborative discussion, participants will gain an understanding of current methods including Parenting Questionnaire, Parent-Child Observation, and other parenting assessments. Additionally participants will gain knowledge of other parenting methods not being utilized at the agency.
Mid-Ohio Psychological Services, Inc. is offering this training for three (3.0) hours of continuing education credit. Full attendance is required; no partial credits will be offered for partial attendance. This training is not an ethics course.
Kimberly Blair, M.A., PCC-S is the Associate Director at Mid-Ohio Psychological Service, Inc. Ms. Blair obtained her Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Child and Family Interventions. Ms. Blair has extensive experience in working with adults, families and youth. Ms. Blair has worked primarily with individuals who are involved in the court system and/or child welfare system. Additionally, Ms. Blair has training in formalized assessment and provides psychological testing services for the agency.
Registration begins at 8:30 am. The training begins at 9:00 am and concludes at 12:00 pm. Coffee and hot tea is provided. Full attendance will be required to receive a certificate; no partial credits will be offered for individuals missing more than a total of 15 minutes course time.
