Learning Objectives:
1. Describe the scope of mental health issues in lawyers, including depression, substance abuse and suicide.
2. Discuss some of the features of legal work and the “legal culture” that may precipitate psychological problems and psychiatric disease and the special challenges that women lawyers face.
3. Describe some of the responses the legal profession is making to addressing mental health issues in lawyers.
