Description: Implications of the ACE Study for Healthcare Practice and Public Policy.
Objectives: Participants will receive information & resources about the prevalence and lont-term health effects of childhood trauma, abuse, violence and neglect, learn how the ACE Study can inform public policy and trauma informed healthcare and behavioral healthcare, and learn how the effects of trauma are being addressed accross the lifespan in Summit County.
Speakers: Multiple
CE’s: 6.0 credits available for physicians, psychologists,counselors, social workers, and nurses.
Registration: $25 fee, registration will end April 10th or when all spaces are filled. Fee includes admission to the workshop, CE credits, light breakfast, break refreshments, lunch, and parking. Space is limited. Fee is waived for Summa, Akron Childrens, and ADM Board staff as well as for residents/trainees/students, but pre registration is still required; badge or other proof of affiliation must be presented.
