Welcome OPA-MCE Providers

Thank you for choosing to become an OPA-MCE Approved Provider. See below for some of our Provider FAQs.

What is an acceptable course?
OPA-MCE standards require that all courses be pertinent to the theory, practice and methodology of psychology, taught at the post-licensure level/graduate level, and enable a psychologist to provide better psychological care to the consumer.

What makes a course acceptable for ethics credit?
Psychologists in Ohio must complete 23 hours of continuing education per biennium INCLUDING at least 3 hours in professional conduct/ethics. Check the Ethics Requirements to determine if a course is eligible for ethics CE. If so, check the ethics box on the attendance sheet before submitting it to OPA-MCE.

How do we report a course we’ve given to the OPA-MCE Office?
The MCE Program Administrator (one person in your office who will be responsible for all correspondence with OPA-MCE) completes the attendance sheet, has all Ohio psychologists who want to earn CE sign it and list their license number, and forwards it to OPA-MCE via email, fax or mail within 30 days of providing the course.

Can I check to see how many courses we’ve given during the biennium?
You can check your Course Transcript at any time to see which courses have been reported to OPA-MCE and who attended them. Login here using your Provider number and PIN.

How do we advertise an upcoming course?
As an approved OPA-MCE Provider, you are eligible to advertise your course listings free of charge on the OPA-MCE calendar. ONLY OPA-MCE approved provider courses are promoted on the calendar. Submit Upcoming Courses to the MCE Calendar by logging in to the blue box on the right with your Provider number and PIN.

Where can I find additional OPA-MCE Provider resources?
Check the Extras box to the right for all the tools and resources you need.
