OPAGS Membership
Full membership is open to any undergraduate student, graduate student or post-doctoral fellow who completes an application form and pays the annual fee of $25. Membership includes the right to vote in OPAGS elections and the right to hold office.
Membership in OPAGS includes:
- A subscription to OPA’s publications, including The Ohio Psychologist and the OP Review (a $50 value)
- Discounts to OPA’s Convention and workshops
- Opportunity to volunteer at these events
Your involvement in OPA doesn’t have to end there. An important aspect of membership includes networking, support and the exchange of ideas and information among psychologists. OPA keeps in touch with the important issues that psychologists face, including ongoing advocacy of important legislation that affects psychologists across the United States. You will have many opportunities to get involved in these grassroots efforts, as well as other activities that serve the public.
To join, fill out the online membership form.
E-Newsletter Subscription
OPA also offers an e-newsletter subscription (not classified as membership) for students only. This subscription is entirely electronic and does not offer the benefits of the full OPAGS membership above, but may be a good place to start familiarizing yourself with OPA and psychology within the state of Ohio.
If you are currently a student (“.edu” e-mail address required) and are interested in becoming an e-newsletter subscriber, please complete the form on the OPA E-newsletter page. Upon completion of the form you will be subscribed to the OPA-STUDENT listserv within 3 business days. The OPA-STUDENT listserv will allow you to network with other students and familiarize yourself with the field of psychology. You will also receive the electronic newsletter, OPA Notes, on the first Tuesday of each month.
