OPA Advertising Rates and Publication Schedule

Advertising is accepted for OPA’s bi-monthly print publications, online, in the OPA Convention brochure and at continuing education workshops. OPA’s publications offer psychologists the latest news about their profession, in-depth information on current and emerging issues facing mental healthcare providers and updates on OPA’s activities.

Print Publication: The Ohio Psychologist and OPA Annual Report

The Ohio Psychologist is the scholarly, peer-reviewed journal of the Ohio Psychological Association. Published annually in August, this magazine has a circulation of 1,700.

The July OPA Annual Report is mailed to all psychologists in Ohio (circulation 3,000) and contains a wrap-up of OPA’s activities of the year.

Print Publication: The Ohio Psychologist Review

These member newsletters, circulation 1,700, are published twice per membership year in November/December and March/April, and contain information about the Association’s activities and current news about psychology. 2012 Annual Convention Registration Brochure

OPA’s 2012 Annual Convention takes place Oct. 24-26 at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Columbus. 5,000 brochures will be mailed approximately Sept. 1, 2012. Program attendance is estimated at 350 psychologists. Program advertisers also receive a free listing on the OPA Convention webpage. Classified advertisements are in each of OPA’s publications. Please specify one of the following ad categories: Job Market, For Sale, Office Space, Workshops/Seminars and Miscellaneous. These rates include free posting of your classified ad on OPA’s website for one month, commencing with the publication print date.

Electronic advertising opportunities

OPA Notes E-Newsletter

OPA Notes is OPA’s monthly electronic newsletter, sent out the first Tuesday of each month. The newsletter is sent to 1,800 members and students and contains regular features such as the President’s Message, News, Committee Corner,  Advocacy Alert and Member Benefit of the Month. Only three spaces are available for advertising each month, so reserve your space today!

Rates: $150 per ad–advertise 6 times and take 50% off!

OPA Notes Member Spotlight

In addition, members can purchase the Member Spotlight section and put information about their practice, including contact information and photo to gain more referrals!

OPA accepts online advertising in the form of classified ads. Office space, for sale ads and educational opportunity ads are $60 per month or free for OPA members. Please indicate the start and end date.

Acceptance of advertising on the Ohio Psychological Association website does not imply endorsement by OPA. Contact Heather Gilbert to place your classified. Ads must be submitted electronically and may be edited for length. Note: A $25 fee will be charged for changes made to an already uploaded advertisement, or if the ad is not submitted in electronic format.

Workshop Sponsor

OPA offers a variety of statewide continuing education workshop to its members January-August of each year. Sponsor a workshop to market your organization. Your sponsorship includes your company logo and link on OPA’s Web site, a two-minute introduction at the beginning and opportunity to place promotional material in each attendee’s packet. Ad Formats

Ads must be in a digital format or high-quality laser print. The following formats are accepted, with a minimum of 300 dpi: .eps, .tif and pdf.

Discounts

• Full OPA members receive a 20% discount on print, web and classified ads.
• Affiliate OPA members receive a 10% discount on print, web and classified ads.
• OPA members are eligible for 30 days of free Web site classified advertising for “Office Space” or “For Sale” advertisements (job opportunities must be submitted through the Career Center).
• OPA-MCE approved providers receive a 10% discount on display ads.
